Why Now

The window is closing.

AI is reorganising how expertise gets discovered, cited, and trusted. Algorithms surface the voices that have built the infrastructure to be found. Organisations that delay this work are falling behind.

The window to establish authority before AI-mediated search consolidates around established voices is narrowing. The Influence Strategy is designed for that window.

"The person who commissions this arrives at the leadership presentation with outside intelligence and a structured case. The document pays for itself by unlocking the budget for everything that follows."

Who This Is For

Built for organisations ready to lead.

The Influence Strategy is commissioned by founders, executives, and team leads at African or Africa-facing organisations who are accomplished but not yet the first voice in the room.

You have the expertise. You need the infrastructure that makes it legible, trusted, and decisive.

SECTORS WE WORK IN

  • Global Health
  • Development Finance
  • Tech · Fintech
  • Energy · Climate
  • Policy
  • Impact · NGO

You are the right fit if:

Experience 8–20 years in your field, with a track record that speaks inside your organisation.
Gap Known internally. Not yet the first name mentioned externally when your area of expertise comes up.
Goal To be recognisable, trusted, and influential beyond your current circle, through positioning rather than self-promotion.
Geography Africa-based or Africa-facing. East African primary context; broader continent welcome.
How It Works

Four phases. Five weeks. One complete strategy.

The engagement runs fully remote. Stella's team works alongside yours, as collaborators.

Phase 1 · Week 1

Kickoff

One session. Stella and the commissioning team align on scope, priorities, and the right people to involve. You connect Stella's team with the stakeholders who will be interviewed during the audit.

This session establishes the influence hypothesis: what success looks like in your specific context. It produces the interview roster.

Phase 2 · Weeks 1–2

The Audit

Structured interviews with nominated stakeholders using Stella's proprietary Influence Infrastructure framework. The audit surfaces:

  • How expertise is actually perceived and carried versus how leadership believes it is
  • Authority gaps: what your organisation is known for versus what it should be known for
  • Trust network assumptions: who is actually carrying expertise forward
  • Absent agenda position: where decisions are being made without your voice

Phase 3 · Weeks 3–4

Co-Creation Week

One focused week building the strategy across all three layers with your commissioning team. This is collaborative strategy design, not a presentation of Stella's findings.

  • Authority: your distinctive point of view, made legible and AI-indexed
  • Trust Network: who carries your expertise forward and how that relationship is structured
  • Agenda Position: which conversations to enter, when, and how to shape them rather than join them

Phase 4 · Week 5

The Influence Mandate

Stella produces the complete strategy document and presents it to your top leadership: board, funders, or executive committee, whoever needs to authorise further investment.

The Mandate serves two purposes: a complete influence strategy your team owns and can activate immediately, and an evidence-backed internal investment brief that makes the case for what comes next.

The Deliverable

The Influence Mandate

The final document is not a strategy deck. It is a dual-use artefact: a complete influence strategy your team can activate immediately, and a structured case that makes leadership investment in the next phase obvious.

The person who commissions this arrives at the leadership table with outside intelligence, structured recommendations, and the internal argument for why influence infrastructure is the missing link between where you are and where you need to be.

For the commissioning team

A complete, actionable strategy across all three layers (authority, trust network, and agenda position) that you own and can begin implementing immediately.

For leadership

An evidence-backed investment brief that makes the case for authority-building, trust network activation, and agenda-seeding work, including what it costs to fund it.

For funders and boards

Outside intelligence that reframes influence from a "nice to have" to a strategic priority, with sector data to back it.

For implementation

Clear next steps across comms asset development, trust network activation, and agenda-seeding convenings, ready to resource and begin.

Our Guarantee

You leave with a complete strategy. Full stop.

If your Influence Mandate is not complete and ready to activate at the end of Week 5, the engagement continues at no additional cost until it is. We do not collect and disappear. We deliver.

Beyond The Strategy

Need help implementing?

The Influence Strategy produces a complete mandate. For organisations that want ongoing senior counsel to implement it — authority-building work, trust network activation, agenda-seeding campaigns, communications architecture — we engage at advisory rates.

This is the bread and butter of our practice. Stella Njogo Advisory works with a small number of organisations on an ongoing basis. If you want us in the room as you build, let us know.
