Influence strategist. Founder of Strategy Shepherds. Building the infrastructure that helps serious African organisations become impossible to ignore.
Work With Stella
Stella Njogo is a strategic communications, influence, and Africa partnerships leader based in Nairobi. She is the founder of Strategy Shepherds and the creator of the Influence Infrastructure Method, a three-layer framework that turns expertise into structured, sustainable influence.
Over more than twelve years, Stella has advised senior leaders, shaped multi-market narratives, translated research into influence platforms, and led strategic communications across public health, SRHR, food systems, youth, philanthropy, and the digital economy.
"Stella has the uncanny ability to translate what youth on the ground need, truly getting fresh insights, while simultaneously translating those insights to internal teams who make programme decisions, to leadership who determine priorities, and to funders who need to understand the importance of the work."
Her work has reached the world's most significant platforms. She led Shujaaz Inc's TED Countdown engagement from inception through execution, including the Unseen Heroes report and film. She co-designed the Youth Climate Lab, represented the organisation on a global panel, and the film later travelled to COP. She led storytelling and communications strategy for Reclaiming Tomorrow, a politically sensitive youth futures project shared through UN partners at UNGA. She has spoken at and facilitated sessions for Nation Media Group, the WordPress Community, and policy and knowledge-sharing forums involving government, civil society, philanthropy, and the private sector.
On the evidence-to-influence side: Stella turned seven years of research and more than 13,000 interviews with young Kenyans into the Young and Kenyan influence platform, work that helped establish Shujaaz Inc as a trusted authority and influenced the securing of more than US$2 million for long-term gender norms programming. She advised Tiko's C-suite on the strategic direction and messaging architecture for a multi-year adolescent health fundraising campaign across six African markets.
Strategy Shepherds is Stella's consultancy practice. For bespoke, ongoing engagements, she activates a collective of senior strategists, communications specialists, and sector experts. The team is right-sized to each mandate. Stella leads every engagement personally.
The Influence School and the Stella Njogo YouTube channel are the public education arm of the Influence Infrastructure Method: case-study-led, evidence-based, and built for African professionals who trust content that respects their intelligence.
Every engagement, masterclass, and piece of content Stella produces is built on the same three-layer framework. Not motivation. Not personal branding. Infrastructure.
Your organisation's distinctive point of view, made publicly legible, AI-indexable, and recognisable to the people who need to find you. A position that earns sustained attention.
The designed community of validators, carriers, and interpreters who move your expertise into rooms you cannot enter directly. The difference between being known inside your organisation and being cited outside it.
Deliberate positioning inside the specific policy, market, or sector conversations where your expertise must be decisive. Enter before the decision window opens, not after it closes.
Strategy Shepherds works primarily with East African organisations and professionals, with a broader reach across the African continent and diaspora.
Every engagement is designed for the specific dynamics of influence in African professional contexts, where expertise is often abundant and infrastructure can be deliberately built.
The Stella Njogo YouTube channel is where 12+ years of experience in African influence becomes practical, weekly content. Case studies, frameworks, and field observations, built for professionals who trust content that respects their intelligence.
New video every week. No fluff. No motivation. Just the method.
